Hillsborough Lake and Forest – Short walk

Our next walk will be next Friday 16th July to Hillsborough Forest Park.

Meeting Point: Great Victoria Street Bus Station 10.30
The walk will be approx. 3 miles and last 1 1/2 hours
Transport; By train to Great Victoria Street
Whitehead 9.45, Carrickfergus 9.54, Greenisland 10.03, Jordanstown 10.06,
Whiteabbey 10.10
Then No 238 Bus to Hillsborough leaving at 10.45
Return buses are at 14.07, 15.07, 15.37
Walk – From War Memorial up to St Malachy’s Church, past Hillsborough Fort to the lake. Then follow Forest park route (red arriows), back to the lake and back to village centre. The walk will be on well maintained paths and is mostly fairly level.
Lunch – We hope to lunch at Hillside Bar/RestaurantÂ
Toilets are available in town car park and at Hillside.
