Walking – Balancing Lakes, Craigavon

9th November 2018 – Leader Brenda Nicholl

The Group travelled by train to Gt Victoria Street Station and boarded the Goldliner express to Armagh which called at the Rushmere Centre, Craigavon.
On arrival at the shopping centre we had coffee after which we left by the back of the building where we were able to begin the walk.
We took the walkway which led down to the main path and set off to walk the circular pathway. The weather forecast was for bad weather and indeed the sky was very grey and overcast. We were able to walk the circular route which meandered by the lake and through trees and grass areas with views of fields and natural vegetation. We were fortunate to just arrive back at the shopping centre as the rain came on quite heavily and it was decided as the rain was forecast to continue for the rest of the day that we would board the bus which was due and make our way back.
