Hillsborough Lake – Friday 18th September

Walk : approx  –  2 – 2.5 mls

 Meeting point; The War Memorial, bottom of  Main Street at 11.15am.

 Public Transport: by train –  Carrick 9.54, Greenisland 10.03, Jordanstown 10.06, Whiteabbey 10.10. arriving Central  Station at 10.30.

 Bus No 238 ex Central Station to Hillsborough at 10.45am, and every 30 mins there after.  We only have 15 mins to get round from train to bus.

 Walk: Up through the grounds of the church then walking round the perimeter of the lake.  All paths are flat, firm and well trodden, although may be a little muddy depending on weather on days before our walk.

 Lunch:  Choice of several places to eat- The Hillside Bar + Restaurant , The Plough Bar + Restaurant or 1 or 2 coffee shops – all located on Main Street.

 Toilets : Available at Grand Central , at lake carpark + any of the eating venues.

 Return Journey : Bus from War Memorial back to station approx. every 30 mins,   14.07, 14.37, 15.07, 15.37. Trains ex Central Station approx. every 30 mins , 14.15, 14.45, 15.15.
