Meeting Point: Belfast Grand Central Station – 11.00a.m.

 Duration/Distance: Approximately 1 ½  – 3 miles

Train times:

Whitehead 10.15 a.m., Downshire 10.21 a.m. , Carrickfergus 10.24 a.m.

Troopers Lane   10.30 a.m., Greenisland 10.33 a.m., Jordanstown  10.36 a.m., Whiteabbey 10.40 a.m.

Arrives at Grand Central at 11.00 a.m.

We will then take the Bus No 238 at 11.15 to Hillsborough arriving at 11.37

Return bus times from Hillsborough are 15.07 a.m., 15.37 a.m.

Route of Walk – Up to St Malachys Church, past Hillsborough Fort and round Hillsborough Lake, keeping to path at water’s edge.  The path is fairly level but can be muddy in places.

Lunch – We will have lunch at the Hillside Bar/Restaurant on the Main Street.Toilets are available the town car park and at the Hillside.
