Hillsborough Forest Park – Short Walk

Duration/Distance: Approximately 1 1/2 hours – 3 miles

Arrive at Great Victoria Street 11.00
We will then take Bus No 238 to Hillsborough
Bus time ; 11.15 No 238 to Hillsborough War Memorial arriving 11.41
Return bus times are 14.02. 14.32, 15.32
Route of Walk – Up to St Malachys Church, past Hillsborough Fort and round Hillsborough Lake keeping to path at waters edge. There are now numerous viewing platforms around the lake which give a good opportunity to see the water fowl on the lake. The path is fairly level but can be muddy in places. We may divert into the forest depending on the time.
Lunch – We hope to have lunch at the Hillside Bar/Restaurant on the Main Street.
Toilets are available the town car park and at the Hillside.
