Loughshore Park to Hillside Nursery

Transport – Either by car to Loughshore car park or by train to Jordanstown – About 10 minute walk from Jordanstown station to the car park.

Train times –  Whitehead 10.15, Carrickfergus 10.24, Trooperslane 10.30, Greenisland 10.33, arrive at Jordanstown 10.36

Walk Route

Follow the shore up to traffic lights to Spar shop. Cross road to Glenavna Road and take the path that leads under the railway viaduct, through mixed parkland and woodland, past Monkstown Forest and up to Hillside Nursery. The paths are mostly well maintained, though a few parts may be a bit muddy in places. There are no particularly steep inclines. The walk should only take just over 2 hours there and back.

Lunch is available at Hillside Nursery, or if anyone wants they can wait until back at Jordanstown where there are other eateries available.

 Toilets are available at Loughshore Park and at Hillside Nursey
