River Walk – Broughshane

Approximately 3 1/2 miles.

Travel:

Train from Whitehead to Yorkgate -Ballymena.

Leave W/head 8.45am

Leave C/fergus 8.45am

Leave Trooperslane 9 am

Arrive Yorkgate 9.15am

Change Yorkgate Plateform 2 

9.25 am to Ballymena.

Mossley West 9.33 am/Arrive Ballymena Train station at10 am.

Bus 128B at B’mena bus station, beside train station to Raceview Mill Broughshane at 10.23am arrive at 10.38 am.

 Anyone travelling by car, take the Ballymena Bye Pass and follow signs for Broughshane and park at Raceview Mill.

 Walk:

Meeting point at Raceview Mill (Car Park) B’shane  at 11 am. 

Path could be muddy, if wet.

Walk takes 40 mins to The Thatch Restaurant or Winnie’s Cafe for approx. 12 noon for Lunch.

Return Walk to Raceview Mill at 2.30pm from The Thatch this time via the Buttermilk Bridge to Knowhead Road.

Bus 128A at Raceview Mill at 3.30pm to Ballymena Bus Centre.Arriving at 3.45pm.

Train to Belfast at 4pm.

 Toilets at Ballymena Train Station/The Thatch and Cafes Broughshane
