Title: Moira towpath – from Moira Railway Station to Broadwater and back.

How to get there on public Transport: 9.15am train from Whitehead to Lanyon Place Station arriving at 10.04am. Calling at Downshire (9.21am), Carrickfergus (9.24am), Greenisland (9.33am), Jordanstown (9.36am), Lanyon Place (9.52am) Change at Grand Central Station at 10.00am for 10.06am train to Portadown alighting at Moira Railway station at 10.39am

Returning home: The walk finishes at Moira Railway Station where there are trains to Belfast at various times. please check with Translink.

If you wish to travel by car there is a car park at Moira Train Station which can be busy. Do not park on the public road which has double yellow lines. (Unless you want a parking fine).

Refreshments: Participants can bring their own refreshments such as sandwiches and a flask or some other form of refreshment if you do not like sandwiches, for a picnic break halfway through the walk. Alternatively at the end of the walk you can make your own personal dining arrangements. The Alchemy (formally the Tannery) has closed and there are no other facilities close at hand. It is a 1.5 mile (20 minutes) walk into Moria along an unsafe country road (NOT RECOMMENDED)

Do carry water especially if the weather is hot.
