Victoria Park Walk – Friday 4th April
Victoria Park to C S Lewis Square Belfast.
Meeting Point – Sydenham Railway Station at 10.51 4th April 2025
Public Transport- By train to Lanyon Place, then change to Bangor line.
Whitehead 9.45, Carrickfergus 9.54, Greenisland 10.03, Jordanstown 10.06, Whiteabbey 10.10
Arriving Lanyon Place at 10.20. Then Bangor train from Lanyon at 10.45
Return trains from Sydenham Train Station 13.07 or 13.37. ,thereafter every 0.5 hour.
From Lanyon 13.25 or 13.55 , thereafter every 0.5 hour.
For those only doing ONE Way the Glider can be picked up across the road from C S Lewis Square, up the Newtownards Road a bit.
Anyone travelling by car, can park in Victoria Park. (If you can find your way in: Off Hollywood road, then Connsbrook Avenue.. )
Walk – Will be approximately 1.5 miles and take about 1.5 hour ONE WAY
Round Trip back to Sydenham Train Station 2.0 hours.
The walk is mostly flat on tarmac paths, except at the start where there are a number of steps.
Route follows follows the path twice around the lake in Victoria Park and then along the path to C S Lewis Square.
Lunch – There are a number of small cafes in the area. McDonalds is across the Newtownards Road.
Toilets – .Paid toilets in Victoria Park if working.
