Meeting Point – Entrance to Lanyon Train Station  @10.50

 Public Transport- By train to Lanyon Place.

Whitehead 10.15, Carrickfergus 10.24, Greenisland 10.33, Jordanstown 10.36, Whiteabbey 10.40

Arriving Lanyon Place at 10.50.

 Return trains from Belfast Lanyon Train Station at 25 and 55 minutes past the hour.

Anyone travelling by car may be able to park at Lanyon Train Station.

Walk – Will be approximately 3.0-3.5 miles and take about 2.0 hours excluding a lunch stop.  The walk is mostly flat on tarmac paths.  ( One  path is cobbled for a short distance but can be walked around)

 Route: Outside the station cross East Bridge Street and turn left toward the city centre, then over the foot bridge towards the Waterfront Hall. We then cross a few roads walking towards the Big Fish, across the new foot bridge on the lagan, on past the Odyssey arena, past the Titanic centre, down the Titanic slipways, past HMS Caroline ship and on to the Harland & Wolff pump house.

 Lunch –   walkers may bring their own lunch (plenty of picnic tables at the marina) or have lunch at one of the cafe’s en route (subway,Titanic centre café or Titanic Hotel)

 Toilets – Toilets at Lanyon Station and at the Titanic Centre.
