How to get there on public Transport: 9.15am train from Whitehead to Lanyon Place Station arriving at 10.04am. Calling at Downshire (9.21am), Carrickfergus (9.24am), Greenisland (9.33am), Jordanstown (9.36am), Lanyon Place (9.50am)Change at Lanyon Place for 10.04am train to Portadown alighting at MoiraRailway station at 10.44am
Returning home: The walk finishes at Moira Railway Station where there are trainsto Belfast at various times. please check with Translink.
If you wish to travel by car there is a car park at Moira Train Station which can be busy. Do not park on the public road which has double yellow lines. (Unless you want a parking fine).
Refreshments: Participants can bring their own refreshments such as sandwiches and a flask for a picnic bread halfway through the walk or if they wish at the end of the walk make their own personal dining arrangements. The Alchemy (formally the Tannery) is closed. It is a 1.5 mile (20 minutes) walk into Moria along an unsafe country road (NOT RECOMMENDED)
Do carry water especially if the weather is hot.
