Whiteabbey Foreshore to Gideons Green with Variations on Return

Short Walk: – Approx. 5 miles – 2+ hours

Meeting Point: – Loughshore Carpark at 11.00a.m.

Transport: Either by car to Loughshore or: Train: Whitehead 10.15am, Downshire 10.21, Carrickfergus 10.24, Trooperslane 10.30,  Greenisland 10.33,  Jordanstown 10.36. 

A Walk through Time

Commencing at Loughshore we will go along the coastal path to Hazelbank and Gideons Green. We will return via Whitehouse Park; King’s Coronation Garden; some Blue Plaque Residencies and Local Resident’s Association Murals close to Whiteabbey Station. The walk will end in Whiteabbey Village. The walk is on tarmac paths and mostly level with some very gradual inclines.

Lunch:- Available at various establishments in the village. Alternatively coffee etc is available at the Loughshore Cafe.

Toilets – Available at Loughshore and at Hazelbank beside the garden.
