Antrim Castle Gardens Walk

Antrim Castle Gardens:

 Walk Leader  – Irene Thompson

Short walk approx.  4 miles.

Meeting point:-  Antrim train station.

Walk starts:-       11am.

Train departs  Whitehead  09.45, Carrickfergus 09.53, Greenisland 10.02

                          Jordanstown 10.05, Whiteabbey 10.09,

Arriving           Yorkgate  10.15.    Change to Londonderry train.

Departing       Yorkgate  10.24,  Mossley west 10.32.

Arriving           Antrim 10.46.

Return train depart Antrim:-   12.14,  14.14,  15.14.

The walk is on level paths with one incline at Oriel Road back to the train station.

From the station we walk through the town to the Antrim forum, then along the road

past Massereene Golf Club to Lough Neagh and six mile river.

This leads us to the Castle gardens and Clotworthy House where we will have lunch.

Toilets available at train station and Clotworthy House.
