Airport Road West Kinnegar to Holywood Walk

WALK Date  24th March 2023

This is a short walk approx 4 miles in total, 2 miles each way from Airport Road West, Kinnegar Lagoon to Holywood and back.

It is entirely flat, continuously close to the Eastern edge of the Loch, and mostly paved ground.

Directions. 

We meet at the car parking area directly opposite the CONCENTRIX building on Airport Road West at 11.00am

Directions

Coming from Carrickfergus, Larne and whiteabbey continue on the Shore Road until the hazelbank roundabout.

Continue onto the M3 then follow towards Belfast City Airport via the Sydenham bypass

Take the exit to Holywood Exchange, and at the roundabout take the exit first left. 

At the next roundabout take the second exit on the right on to the airport Road West. 

Continue on this road past Sainsbury’s on your right. 

Follow the airport Road West around into the harbour estate and the large concentrix building is on your left. 

The parking area is just opposite of this.

Lunch. 

There are numerous cafes in Holywood to choose from and most importantly, ‘high class’ charity shops  to have a mooch around in.

Helen and I will be meeting at the car park in hazelbank on the day and will remain there until about 10:35. 

If anybody is unsure of the directions we can meet there to continue on to our meeting place.
