Comber Greenway to Dundonald Ice Bowl Walk

· Meeting Point – Holywood Arches Glider Bus stop at about 11.05 approx.

· Public Transport- By train to Lanyon Place and Glider to Holywood Arches on the OPPOSITE side of the road from train station.

Whitehead 10.14, Carrickfergus 10.23, Greenisland 10.32, Jordanstown 10.35, Whiteabbey 10.39
Arriving at Lanyon Place at 10.50. Then Glider every 7 minutes outside Lanyon Place at approx. 10.55
Anyone travelling by car, can probably park in the Connswater shopping centre and wander over to the starting point.
Walk – Will be approximately 3.0 miles and take about 1.0 hours .The walk is mostly flat with a couple of steps and a slight incline.
Lunch – There are a number of cafes /restaurants in the omniplex complex, close to the Dundonld Ice bowl.

There are two possible return options.

1. To walk back by the same route or

2. To continue on up the greenway to the east Link road, turn left and head towards the Comber road junction. Head straight on at this junction towards the Ulster hospital on the Upper Newtownards road. Turn left onto the Newtownards road and take the Glider back to Lanyon train station. This extra walk to the glider stops takes about 10-15 minutes –Not far. See map below
