Account of Walk to Victoria Park on 14th June 2019

On Friday 14th June 13 members of the Walking Group travelled by train to Sydenham Station and then crossed the bridge over the dual carriageway to enter Victoria Park on the other side. Most of the group walked around the central part of the park and then the outer pathway to the Sam Thompson bridge but a few decided not to continued and went back to the train. After crossing the bridge we continued to the Titanic Quarter where we had lunch in the Titanic Hotel before walking back to Lanyon Station to catch a train home. We were fortunate in that although it was very dull and overcast the rain held off until we had finished our walk.
