Seaside Walk 1Km - 4Km

This is a leisurly walk from the station as far as Sunshine House. It is along well paved path. There are no steps and most of the walk is free from traffic.

Blackhead Lighthouse 3.8KM

This walk includes the whole of the Seaside Walk but extends it by visiting the lighthouse. The Short Climb and the Long Climb both ascend the same amount of height and both have lots of steps. I cannot decide which, if either of them, is the easiest but if you are wary of heights the short climb feels more secure.

Shore Country and Town 5KM

Follow the Seaside Walk as far as the fork in the path just past Sunshine House. Take left for the Short Climb and right for the Long Climb. [See Blackhead Lighthouse for a short description of these.] At the lighthouse exit the path to the country road. This first part of the road is mostly free of traffic as it only serves the lighthouse.
